Conditions of Membership

 

No membership application shall be accepted until voted on by the Committee of Northern Steel Car Club Inc. In the event this application is successful, notification of acceptance and a copy of the rules and regulations of the club will be sent to the nominated e-mail address. A copy of the rules and regulations of the Club is available above.

By making a membership application the applicant agrees to be bound by the rules and regulations of Northern Steel Car Club Inc. (the Club), including the rules and regulations detailed within, and acknowledges that failure to abide by the rules and regulations of the Club may result in the suspension or termination of membership.

The applicant acknowledges that to participate in a Club event the Member must have a valid Western Australian Driver’s License and hold current third party fire and theft or comprehensive motor vehicle insurance over the vehicle to be used in the event.

The member acknowledges that attendance at Club sanctioned events is at the Members own risk, the Member indemnifies the Club and holds the Club and its Committee Members harmless against any and all claim for damages, injury, theft or loss no matter the cause.

If a member application includes a request for registration under the Concessions 4 Classics scheme, the applicant acknowledges that it is the members responsibility to ensure it maintains the vehicle in a roadworthy condition in accordance with all rules and regulations of the Department of Transport, Western Australia and that all personal usage (30 days) and club usage (60 days) is registered with the Club at the time of use. The Club or the Committee Members shall not be liable for the Members failure to comply with any rule or regulation of the Club, or the Department of Transport, Western Australia including the rules and regulations detailed on this web page.

The applicant agrees to abide by the following rules when in attendance at Club sanctioned events or when representing the Club:

  1. No burnouts;

  2. No speeding in or around the venue;

  3. No antisocial behaviour;

  4. No abuse towards any other person at the meets;

  5. Keep the venue tidy and use the bins provided, if no bin is available please take your rubbish with you; and

  6. Mind your language when kids are in attendance. 

Northern Steel has a no tolerance policy to hoon or anti-social behaviour. Failure to abide by these rules may result in the suspension or termination of the membership and exclusion from any further club sanctioned events. Any anti-social or hoon behaviour will be reported to the relevant authorities.
